Default saddle bags

I have a 1996 CBR Smokin Joe, and was wondering if anyone knew of some good saddle bags? With the gas prices , I want to ride everyday to work and need to fit my junk on the bike. Any help would be great! Also any pics of bags on this kinda bike would help too. Don't know what it would look like.

There are alternatives to saddle bags and they look nicer too, IMO. They've got magnetic tank bags that look great and can be had quite large. They also make some rearseat-oriented storage gear that can be secured with bungees to the rear pegs.

All kinds of options - take a look at some of these links, you may even have something laying around the house to tide you over till' the wifey lets you drop some change!

Also, I'm not sure if your bike is mint, but you can pull the left rear fairing off to reveal a small amount of storage for hand tools as well as insurance, registration, etc. If the rear isn't minty condition you prolly don't wanna be popping that thing on and off too much though.

And if IT IS MINT, bemindfull when you do remove it, treat it gently and it will last a while, treat it poorly and it'll look like **** and just be another F3 rolling around...

I've got Joe Rocket sport saddle bags, they work pretty well. I always keep rain gear in one, the other whatever. They'll even zip out to double size and that way hold a full size helmet. I notice a little drag when they're doubled out, but otherwise I can't complain. Velco straps work well over the seat or under for long trips, and they come with shoulder straps for off the bike.

I can remove it in a couple minutes. The only hard part is to remove the security strap thingies because they're connected to the subframe so I gotta remove most of the stuff attached to the subframe first.
