Scareyfast I LOVE IT!!!

You need a alibi , I'm your man!!! sounds like we may have the same paint job , the best one (of course)

Mines got 45k on her now and we've been together for 6,000 of 'em. Hold her close and don't let go!!

You listen to a band called ' tragically Hip' by any chance??

Yea, from all I read 45K is nothing if the oil has been changed with any regularity at all.

When I was 12, my Pop bought a brand spanking new 1985 Rebel 250 to commute back and forth to college. He brought it home and let me take it for a spin around the parking lot. I got my license on that bike, road it to high school, then to college, then to work, then I road my kids around on it. Then I bought an old 2-stroke Yamaha dt250 endouro. My neighbor noticed I wasn't riding the Rebel so much anymore so asked to buy it and then it sat there for 9 months. I noticed he ended up with this beautiful red and white crotch rocket. I'd see him trying to ride it, dragging his feet, riding 15 mph in a 30 zone, stiff as a two-week old corpse. So I let him try out the Rebel, and I followed him on the 'Cane. He was very impressed by how light and maneuverable the rebel was , and I was in LOVE! I traded him both of my 250's for it and it was the best thing for both of us. I know there are faster bikes out there. I had her up to 145 by the speedo and she had plenty more to give and felt great! But I got to finish raising my kids. I will be keeping her though. After all, I have got to have some fun!

Talking My story.

About 18 months ago my friend had this old 91 CBR 1000F given to him by a neighbour who was all starry eyed about a new BMW and wanted space in his garage.
Move on 6 months and my mates brother returns from 6 years in China and decides he dosen't want his pristine Kwaka ZZR1100 with 6k miles on it.
The Kwaka goes to my mate and he offers me the CBR 1000 f for the price of a rear tyre.
How could I refuse ?
He even throws in a Givi Rack and top box together with a full set of pads he was about to fit !
I have since day one been astounded by this machine.
It does all I ask of it and still has more to give.
I recently did a quick 1300 mile trip around Europe and it didn't miss a beat returning about 45mpg.
I have spent a bit on chain and sprockets ( added 1 tooth to the engine sprocket to increase mpg ) and a new set of Bridgestone BT021's ( these are great for touring ! )
It's bright red and black and I love it to bits !!!
So if this is the bargain of the year then I would love know what is ?

I wanted one so bad back when I graduated High School. For various reasons I never bought one. It took me until I was 35 yrs old to finally buy one. Love riding it.
