Mine has run like a champ since the day I bought her!

Only problems I have ever had were diagnosing and repairing the linked brakes, and repairing damage done to it when the thieves butchered her up in my own yard trying to hot wire her.

Mine also runs like a Swiss watch but faster... OK, at 96K miles it is beginning to burn a little oil but all else is running smooth. Good news, I no longer have to lubricate the muffler bearing.

My '94s just coming up to 60,000km and runs great! I'm probably tempting fate by posting this though..It starts in one hit even after up to a month not being started and without a trickle charger, doesn't use oil, doesn't leak a drop of anything, pulls like a train and looks good. I love it!

So Joe, you're not on your own with a sweet running ride. By the looks of it there's heaps of us.

My old girl runs great , she can scare the **** outa me and has only failed to start once because of an old battery . Which to give the girl credit , I kinda knew it was due for a change , so I take the blame for that , it was just me being cheap

Apart from that , life's good!

Typically mines the same! Just had this major poopoo for the 1st time. Usually I turn the key and I'm good to go, just basic maint for me untill now. And like the others I've had a couple "oh chit" moments from a dead start to 100+ in the blink of an eye. Hell I won't even take up to her top speed. I wussed out at 150 and she had plenty left. Mines got almost 92k on her.

Cure your separation anxiety

Mine starts and runs like a champ everyday....totally 100% reliable.
That said everything mechanical has to be maintained at some point or other

It had been ages since I took the old girl out, about seven weeks. Decided that she needed a good clean and thorough going over. Certainly didn't expect there to be any charge left in the battery, but as I was wheeling it out I thought I might give the starter a try, fired right up, not first go, but pretty close. Left it running in the driveway and ran back inside and got into my leathers. Went for a lovely two hour ride, yep, she's still dirty, but runs like a charm. Got stung by a bee on my throat for my troubles, was almost home, some antihistimine and paracetamol and all was good with the world.

Howdy, Mattski!
Welcome back to CBRF!
Glad to hear you had a good run.. well, except for the bee sting and all...

I had one get me on the leg and in the neck this year, too. It distracts the chit out of you, doesn't it? lol..

BTW,
If you get a chance, stop by the ride of the month voting thread (link in my sigline) and vote for our CBR1000F man Hawkwind. He could use the vote, and we're trying to get as many of the guys here to chip in as we can.
