RE: What glue to use for new bar grips?
Hi:
I use Shoe Goo, made by Goop Adhesives, Eclectic Products Inc. Pineville, La.71361, 1-800-767-4667, or www.shoegoo.com.
I buy it Walmart, in the shoe dept, and have used it for many years, on dirt, race and street bikes with good success. The only down side is you
have to cut the old grips off if you want to change them, and is very close to the factory rubber cement used when new.
(in some countries grips must not turn for safety inspection/tuv/mot)
The only times I have ever had any problems on a street bike, when not using shoegoo on them and changed my mind about not using glue is
after riding in heavy rain after a few hours in it, when its colder out, so if you live in a hot climate or only drive in nice weather you probally won't
have any grip twisties. But I never can trust the weather
I hope this helps. I know this is an old post, but info hasn't changed, and wanted to respond to this at the time, but couldn't.
