Default Turn signal relay replacement?

I'm prepping my bike for the summer, and after installing a set of LED rear turn signals, my relay thinks that the bulbs are out (blinks twice as fast). I bought a cheap relay from the auto store (3 prong, no bulbs out indicator), but every time I plug it in, it blows the fuse. I've tried it every which way and it still blows the fuse. I have the wiring diagram for the bike, but the new relay only has an 'L', 'P' , 'X'. I'm assuming X is for ground, L for load (turn signals), and P for power. I tried it and it blew the fuse. What am I doing wrong?
