Default trading her in

So I wanted to say good bye to all the CBR-F owners. I traded mine in for a Daytona 675. I spent a lot of time this year riding various bikes to try and figure out what my next bike would be. With the comfy ergos of our bike I thought an ST bike would be great like the new Sprint, but I didn't feel the love after riding it. My buddy was nice enough to let me borrow his 06 GSX-R and I was pleasantly surprised by the ergo's on it and how tame it can be for street riding and the usable torque is amazing. It handled like a dream, but I don’t need a bike with 162bhp since I only use a 3rd of that power on the street. I got a chance to demo the only Daytona 675 in New England and feel in love. First of all the bike looks amazing, it only weights 362lbs dry, has great torque and pulls almost like a liter bike. I loved how flicable it was, I had so much fun on it and the sound of a triple is just awesome. So I'm picking up my red D675 on Friday.
I had my CBRF for 6 years and put 35,000 miles on her. I had a blast on it but I'm now ready to move on to a newer bike (I have never owned a new bike). I will be starting to do track days as well and didn't want to sink more cash into the CBR to get it track ready.
This forum has been great, and all of you contribute a great deal of information that helps all of us figure our problems out on the bike.

Thanks again and ride safe
Geoff

congrats, good luck with the triumph, at least you are moving to something with some personality, unlike all the other "Me Too" repliracers!

drop by once in awhile, and be sure to post some pictures.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you get for trade-in?

Congrats on the new bike.
