Default Tire sizing 87 1000F

Hello group...new tires needed, limited of course in stock sizing, can I run 120/80 or 120/70 on the front (stock 110/80-17) and 150/80 or 150/70 rear (stock 140/80-17) on this with no interference issues? If I have more sizes available I can check out more brands! Thanks for the input.

Default Tyre sizes - 87/88

Suggest you read the history threads on this...........
Going up one size would be OK but most Mk1 owners opt for the Mk2 wheels which are wider and give you better tyre choices. There are some issues with speedo connections and spacers but not too difficult to resolve.

I'm not planning to upgrade the wheels, I was just wanting to know if the other tire sizes would work without clearance issues.

I would like to know as well as I need a new tyres. I don't want to put larger wheels on either, so are there any of you with an 87/88 running slightly larger tyres on standard rims and if so what size?
Thanks guys.

Sorry mate, mines a 91 but I thought someone would have said something by now.

I seem to recall that some guy's use up to a 170 rear, but I couldn't swear to it and no ideas on the front.

I ordered tires based off of this thread

https://cbrforum.com/forum/cbr-1000f...1000-a-112476/

Quote from the thread
I ended up going with the Dunlop Q2 tires. I went with a 160/60/17 on the back with no width problems at all and went with a 120/70/17 in the front
