Default Tire

I'm getting ready to put on some new tires, and need some recomendations on what brand I should be looking for. Im not looking for a speed rated tire, but a touring type. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

If you do a search there are lots of tire threads on here. All modern tires are so great these days that you really can't go wrong. Im partial to the Bridgestone BT-021's, and many people rave about the Michelin Pilot Road 2's. Either are sticky enough all the way up to a moderate track day pace, are great in the rain, and will give solid mileage to boot.

I'm on my second set of Metzlers.
The first set gave me in excess of 15K miles, mostly motorway riding. They weren't completely out of tread when I changed them but after spending the majority of their life going in a straight line they didn't corner too well, needless to say. The current set scrubbed in much quicker than the first set so I'd say they've probably changed the compound, all for the better.
I'm riding rain, sand and salt on twisty roads at the mo. They deal with it all pretty well as long as you take it easy.
If you want to know the type, I'll let you know. Can't remember now.

Michelin Pilot Roads are good all around tires for me. I have them on both my bikes.
