if the number of teeth on your front cog counts into the number if teeth on your rear cog exactly, you will have torque stretching more quickly,,, someone may have previously changed the gearing,,,
there is 17000miles just turned on my "F" on its original chain and sprockets,and there is many thousands left, i can't find a tight spot on it,and the cogs are like new.
its never cleaned,i just re-lube it,from the inside>out when warm,and run it on the stand to throw the excess,then clean the wheel,, gawd! i take a big hunk of grease of the frame every now and then with paper towels, just never was one to clinically have my chain look like a show item,its a purpose item.
