Default Starts but don't stay running Help!

Hello,
I'm having an isue with my 1000F. I can get it to start but it won't stay running. It's getting plenty of gas and has a new air filter with a clean airbox. I put a new battery in it today. It hasn't benn run since spring and it did run then. Any suggestions would be great.

Ok, I did get it to run but it would not go above 1000RPM. Everytime I tried to twist the throttle it would die. It ran for about 5 min at 1k RPM and then died and my battery was done. It would only run with full choke as well. As soon as I started to let it down off choke it dies.

Strip and clean the carbs (carefully, one at a time)
and check that your vacuum line is working........
Check choke is working correctly - they do stick. Use all the choke - only the top 10% brings the enricheners into line.........
