Default speedometer gearbox

Has anyone had any experience or luck finding a speedometer gearbox for a 90 model cbr? My speedometer is good, my cable is good, and my gearbox won't turn. The bike shop couldn't find it on their parts lists or blow-ups. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks....

Does your cable run to the front wheel or to the front sprocket? If it's the front sprocket... there is one on ebay for a '91(still will fit yours) for starting bid of $9.99. I've bought stuff from that seller. So it's a pretty good deal. If it goes to the front anything off of an older model will work.

Thanks for the info. It runs to the front sprocket. I'll check out E-bay. Thanks again.

It looks like it's item #16 on the E-11 Fische for the 1990 CBR 1000F. It's also included with the item #4 Cover Assembly. Hope this helps.

You're right. It is #16. It is the speedometer joint. Turns out this was the culprit. The gearbox itself is built in to the sprocket cover and cannot be repaired. One has to buy a new cover if the gearbox goes out. Thanks for the reply.
