Default Gearbox/ Shifting

I have been noticing that when shifting, it feels a bit "clunky". I am sure some of this can be contributed to rider error, but, through the lower gears it seems its worse. Is this normal for a newer bike, or would a semi blend or syn help a bit? I only have my old F3 to compare to, thats why I am asking.

do you powershift? ive been doing that lately with no apparent negative side effects, but i'd hate to find that i'm wearing something out, like synchronizers on a car. i always rev-match though. but sometimes mine is clunky, soemtimes smooth ...just depends on throttle control. and the big clunk when you shift into 1st is normal, i believe
