Default Sorry guys, I jumped ship....

I just bought my bosses GSXR 1000 K1 with 1080 miles on the clock for £2800. Couldnt turn that price down, it was just too good to let go to someone else. Thanks for the warm welcome and the help while I have been here. Its a good gang you have here.

Unfortunately that means the CBR has to leave home. Selling for £1000 ono 37k miles totally standard, good condition for age. 10 months MoT, 1 month Tax.

???, there are no frame sliders onstock GSXR's. Or perhaps you mean theframe crackingissue on third generation frames, model year -05 and -06 ?

No I don’t know on any recalls on the K1, or on any of them up to K6. There have been a number of cracked frames on K5's but it hasn't lead to any general recall and it is not really proven that it is a fabrication fault. The frames on K5's are not as strong as the earlier ones though, similar frame failures are unknown on K1 to K4. There have also beensome problems withthe new typeslippering clutch on some K5’s.

One should of course always avoid bikes that have been used by wheelie masters since the engine can be damaged by oil starvation.

I have a K3 myself that I bought new and never had any problem with it. It has a Yoshi TRS slip-on and a PC III. The engine seems to be absolutelybullet proof as well as the suspension. Although it has been driven very hard and quite far it still doesn't take any oil or show any signs of aging. I trust those machines to 100 %.

Thanks for the info guys. I know for a fact this bike hasnt been used. I took it for its MoT in 2005 and it had 1020 miles. I bought it 2 days ago with 1080. Only shame is, I have done 100 miles in a day and I ride a lot.

Got a couple of ppl interested in the cbr 1k so ill point them this way.

If you still ride on two wheels you haven't jumped ship.
Its not what you ride but if you ride.
