I just pick up the bike yesterday and really had no opportunity to ride it as yet. It is pissing down with rain here. Plus I need to break-in the machine according to the manual. So first 800km max rev = 4000 rev/min 801-1600kms, max rev = 6000 rev/min.

My first impressions:
I can tell you that this bike is a real dream to ride on. After riding the CBR1000F and I have never ridden a newer fuel-injected bike, this bike is simply awesome. It is really well-balanced and forgiving when it comes to the twisties and the power delivery is really smooth.

Although it is 200plus kg it somehow feels lighter thanthe 1kf. It is comfortable to ride on , which I believeis dueto design of the riders position. Furthermore, I also felt more comfortable when taking a pillion who felt more comfortable as well.

Will give you guys more update when I ride it more.

Cheers

There is a big risk that the engine will not be properlysealed if it is driven too carefully during break in. I run as usual already from the beginning, except for staying 2000 rpm under redline. You can read about this on http://mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm

If you don’t trust this, think about how a new race engine is breaked in. It iscertainly notheld below 6000 rpmfor 1600 km's before it is used at full power. Normally the engines are fully loaded within an hour or so. You can take the bike directly to a track and drive it hardthere already from day one. The important thing is to change oil a couple of times quite early, and to let the engine warm up before being loaded.

YUp I read that article before, not sure if wanna break in like that

I was gonna compromise a little bit.

My first oil change will be at every 500kms till 2000kms and i do occasionally take it up to 6000rev/min. it's just that I heard that Kawasaki will void warranty if bike rev too hard. Apparantly the diagnostic machine can bring up that information.
