Default SIT update

Hi all

I have been away from the forum for some while now, and just got a mail from Shadow, wondering if I were okay. Thx for worrieing mate ;-)

Things are great, and I enjoy the VFR alot. fantastic bike with a lovely engine, though the Cane just had that certain something you can't explain. That certain feeling you get when you just cruise along the open road or whack open the throttle and feel the surge deep down in the engine as the revs rise.

I'm in pre deployment training right now, getting ready for my tour in Afghaninstan in 4 months, so thats why im not so much on the forum.
Training alot with fighterjets as a forward air controller (JTAC in the US), and in genneral getting my crew ready for the mission.

Hope you and your families are having a wonderfull easter, and for you guys in northern europe, are enjoying the wonderfull weather right now. I know I am :-)

Good to hear from you again, Noe
I didn't think the Danish airforce was involved there, but I guess as part of Nato you would be - we tend to forget that everyone is involved in one way or another.
And just because you're a HERETIC (BURN the heretic)
doesn't mean you have to hide from us !
Take care........

Well the Royal Danish Airforce isn't in Afghanistan right now but hopefully will be later on with their F-16's.
I'm working with the Army, and directs air support/deconflict airspace from a forward position in favor of ground manuvre. A bit like an artillery observer, just using air delivered weapons from jets instead of artillery guns.

Currently we are working very closely with British forces in the Helman province.

Apart from that I shall try not to hide from you :-) At least I bought another Honda, and not some Italian or German bike ;-) so it could be worse than it is.

Great to be able to say g,day again & see your doing OK. I agree, there is just something about the old canes that can't be described. Hopefully you get a break in training to spend some time with your family over easter. While you're away you'll be in our prayers. Keep safe & keep up the good fight.
