Default shock options?

I just got a 93 CBR1000F last month and it has 58000 miles on it. I'm happy being on a bigger, fast, comfortable bike. My last bike was an Aprilia Falco and it handled great but it was so uncomfortable that I dreaded getting on it. It had a Penske shock and forks redone by Traxxion (by the previous owner) and it was the best handling bike I've ridden. I've tried looking up shocks for the CBR onlie but can't really find anything. I have a chance to get a good discount from a local bike shop so I'd love to get something to replace the worn rear. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the Forum !
I know Ohlins make a shock for the bike but it's hellish expensive, around $800 - there may be others out there, not sure. Maybe just adjust the present shock to suit your weight and riding style - details in previous posts. Good luck.

I've been reading this forum since last year when I started looking for a new bike (I was looking at CBR1000F, Bandit 1200, ZZR1200) so I've been paying attention to all info about the bike. The only reason I'm considering a new shock is because of the possibility of a big discount.

I changed my suspension last year on my 1991 model.

Put HAGON springs up front and the matching HAGON rear shock.

Bike feels really nice to ride now. Price at the time was around £290 ( $550 ish ) for both
