Default shed some light

on way home today i noticed my tachometer went lymp but the speedo was still showing speed...tonight when i turned the key no lights or action on the control panel. all other electrical s working though, starter,lights,blinkers etc
checked fuse and swapped but still no life in the control panel. is there any clusters inside that may have come loose?

What year/model is your bike Horse?
Sounds like you've got a duff connection somewhere. Have a play with the connectors going to the panel. They may have just worked loose.

87 Model m1

if im looking at the diagram correctly should be the top fuse on the bank of fuses 15amp..
labled Instrument warning and illumination.. changed fuse but still no good..

cool thanks Henry.. i found the slippery sucker.. there is a 3 way split just behind front right blinker the one came from the instruments was just dangling.. cool...

There are two multi connectors up in the right hand side of the upper fairing.
If they become loose you lose the rev counter and the dash lights.

Remove the right hand panel for your radiator and you may be able to see them. Otherwise remove your upper inner fairing and go from there. I did a how to on the instrument removal sometime back with pictures. Should still be in the "how to" section.
That's where your problem lies
