Replacing primary chain and tensioner

Course it does, that's why I suggested the triple clutch pull after a longish shut down. And wet clutches just tend to do that when the oil is all a bit cold and claggy.
No biggie.
But the most important thing that we have achieved here is to stop "Bluey" (I like that) splitting the bottom case, only to find that the whole arrangement looks nothing like an AJS 350 single and he has just completely wasted his time.
Well done gents.

I think the key is to pretend you aren't paying attention to her and then slam her in gear. It catches them off-guard.
Your method might work, too.

Once again it proves it's good to talk....well to you guys at least.
All ideas of primary chain replacement are now gone.
Clutch master and slave cylinders will be overhauled this weekend as I noticed the master cylinder weeping slightly the other day, after a blast through the fens.
The clunk does almost dissappears when the bike has done a few miles so I'm taken it as read and going to ignore the initial clunkiness when cold.
Many thanks ,...keep up the good work,....".Bluey"

Just about all bikes clunk a bit when going in gear. The older Harleys would just about wake the dead.
As mentioned above, loose drive chain can slap making the sound worse.
Even drag bikes where they are dropping the hammer all the time don't need to replace drive chain (that I am aware of).
