Good mroning gents!

I am watching the forum but have been busy prepping and repainting the Dragon's ride following my spill.

repainted the muffler cover: perfect

now tackling th right mirrors and gosh i am gonna do them both.. seems when you start you just go nuts and redo the whole thing.LOL

Indeed i did paint my disk i'll post some pictures soon.

And my dad owned his bodyshp, never worked with him but seems i inerited his talent

Last week i wnet to get some fairing screws washers at my local honda shop, guess what thye want my bike for a show they are doing this summer, they are celebrating their 25th anniversary and wants motorcycles of all decades from Honda...

Guess i reaaly have to work this winter...

Get busy ..... and when & where is that show ...... maybe we'll crash it with a few
more CBR1000F's ...... if I get some "signups" for my planned trip up Nord !

Guys when repainting how many clear coats do you apply? I was thinking of six.

Thanks all, i may not post often but i am keeping an eye on you guys, and one more thing, with all the help i have been getting here, i am proud to display the forum,s stickers!

Seriously, 6 coats of clear??? Are you sanding inbetween coats. Sound like a lot but as along as it is smooth and shiney I guess it doesn't matter. You wouldn't have to worry about scratching to the base coat.

i am not sanding a am using a very light abrasive as i tried with 2000 grit paper and di not like the outcome, of all i tried with scratch doctor from nu finish between coats and it does a very good job. the number of coating i am putting is experience with reparing scratch from my saturn cars..

You might try some using some rubbing compound it really helps put a shine on it. This guy has some good recommendations for painting
