It could be the tyre but it could also be the suspension. If you don't have enough sag on the rear of the bike it will attempt to lift the rear wheel under brakes.

Done properly you can slide the bike sideways in to corners like the Moto GP guys - haha

Me either, the difference between the 170 and 180 is 10mm or 5mm per side. When riding normal you don’t come close to the extra 5mm on the side.

That is what my tires look like. I don’t know but I think they looked like that with the 170 on also. These bikes are somewhat front end heavy and tend to plow.
