Rattlecanned/Rustoleum paint job

Okay so I had some considerable imperfections on my latest (second) application here, but they were strictly my fault. I had wet sanded with 600 which went fine but I think I had a little moisture in spots before I painted so I'll have to sand out two small spots tomorrow.
Overall this was an improvement though, it's laying down dramatically better. I did a light coat, waited 4 minutes then did a medium coat. There is minor orange peel which I will eliminate but honestly if I had to just throw this on my bike as is it would look better than it did before I started! More to come, here's a parting shot:

I'm pretty sure gas will eat right through rattle can paint unless it is covered by two part clear coat such as SpayMax 2K

It really depends whether you use an acrylic or an enamel. Enamel is ok, and some automotive acrylics are ok with fuel as well.
