i was chking old post about theflushing cooling system and dad had mentioned that 90's model mitsubishis had the same cap. the honda cap is over 20 dollars. the stant cap(13 pound rating)was$6.96. the caps are duplicate. here is the part #
this cap fits quite a few models of cars this summer i'm gonna try just distilled water and water wetter. i had great success in my drag car with this combo. georgia gets a little on the hot side!!!come cold weather i'll switch back to anti-freeze

I've been running with water and water wetter for several months and a few thousand miles. No problems with cooling here, and I'm in S. FL.

 

Same thing with my thermostat. I needed a new one and I called up the Honda dealership and they wanted $50 so I measured my old one and went to NAPA, they had a book with all the dimensions. I found one the same size with the same temperature for $7.

As for running the bike with water and water wetter, I think that the water pump may wear out faster. I'd run 30% antifreeze and see if it runs cool enough for you. If it dosn't you could do water wetter and water and add a water pump lubricant.
