Default R1000 turbo blackbird

R1000 just reading a local performance mag called Rapid Bikes (Oz) March issue (http://www.rapidbikes.com.au) and they did an article on a local company that does high performance stuff for bikes. Apparently Honda Oz commissioned these guys to build a turbo for a brand new in the crate Blackbird. It says in the specs details www.honda.com.au warranty: forget it!!! Claimed horsepower: 200hp@7psi... thought you might be interested...

Default RE: R1000 turbo blackbird

Thanks, yes it would be great to turboing the bike but it cost about the same as the rest of the bike if it is a couple of yea´rs old. There is quite a lot of Haybusa's,ZX12R and also Blackbird turbos here in Sweden. The company http://www.mc-xpress.com/is a well reputed supplier. There are also people with real insigt to the turbo design which converts the bike by their own, in that case the conversion can stay within about 2000 dollars even if the blower is brand new.

I'm currently waiting for the ported head to my Bird, it has been athome but wasreturned to get the valve seats MIRA-cutted. The engine may produce about 160 rwhp with some optimism, but that is to find out when dynoing. Theyare about 135 rwhp stock.
