Default question about engine Vibration

As you can see im new. ive had my 93 CBR 1000F for three years now. it runs perfect except for an engine vibration. it occurs at about 4500-5500 rpm. its not present below 4500 or above 5500??? i cant figure it out. i thought it might be the cam chain tensioner but the engine really doent make any abnormal noise, it just vibrates. anyone else have, have had, or heard of this problem? any help would be great, its just real annoying![:@]

Hey, I've got the same problem same RPM's. At first I was a bit worried, but later I just ignored it. I changed the cam chain, but the vibes remained. Can you please describe how to adjust the backlash on the balancer shaft?

I would like to know if this worked as well....since I've got the same exact problem. I to, have just been ignoring the vibes thinking it may just be how the bike is.....starts to make my right hand numb after extended periods in that RPM range though .

Seems like very simple [&:] Can I repeat this procedure if it would not help from first time (is it possible to repeat this procedure many times?) ?

There is a little bit of a buzz around 5,000. The balance shaft doesn't take it all out and that adjustment just sets the gear lash. They can get noisy with age but it's as much the rubber cushions in it hardening as anything else.

Just a thought. If the bar end weights are missing or have been replaced with aluminum ones, that will contribute to an objectionable bar buzz. The originals are heavy steel, rubber mounted in the handlebar to work as a damper. Absent the weight, the vibration damping is absent.

Last year I begin to notice vibrations at some occasions, escpecially at high lean angles, from the other bike I use . It showed up to be the drive chain that began to bind on some links. Perhaps your bike vibrates also when not moving and then it will be some internal thing and not the drive chain.
