Changing the CCT on my '97 for the first time since I bought it. Have a couple questions.
The cam shaft cover/holder for the Right Exhaust is in fact a Right Inlet with letters scratched out.
They look pretty much the same on parts diagrams I've found, can anyone confirm that they are in fact identical to put my mind at ease?
Second issue is the wear to it.
There seems to be a very small groove worn on the inside of it, can just about catch it with a nail.
There's some wear in the corresponding location on the camshaft, visible but feels much smoother.
Also spotted some pitting on the inside of the rocker cover and some wear that looks like it was from the cam chain.
Less worried about this, but in search of a second opinion.
All help is very much appreciated, keen to get her back on the road!
Cheers!

Reason: Forgot some stuff
Hello and welcome to the forum. Those holders are manufactured/machined as part of the cylinder head and can't swapped out or purchased individually. I'd look closely at the machining marks and how it fits in place without the cams installed. If they look like a perfectly matched set, then I don't think you've got anything to worry about. If someone else had swapped it, I don't think they would have taken the time to cross out the label. I'm sure it's fine. You're only other real alternative would be to replace the entire cylinder head.
When I checked my 89 model, three of the caps were marked like above and one had a modified looking marking.(R exhaust) I thought it weird too. Probably factory though.
