Default -87 Hurricane, any tips regarding tuning/performance?

Hi! I`m Toni, 28 years old first time Honda owner and i have been lurking around this forum for some time and finally decided to create topic for my Hurricane ”project”. Nice to meet you all!

So, i have -87 Hurricane. So far i’ve installed k&n air filter and re-jetted carbs (138 main outer cylinders, 135 inner), put 2 shims under each needle and opened mixture screws 2,5 It already had 4-2-1, good flowing aftermarket exhaust when i got it. Next week im going to install stick coils from CBR1000RR and change 1 tooth smaller front sprocket but my hunger for power isnt just yet satisfied and i need help from you guys Any good general tips how i can make my Hurricane ”blow the doors off”, so to speak?

Couple specific questions:

Im thinking that im running my bike little bit too rich after re-jetting. Its running fine and has pretty good top end power compared to stock but i’ve noticed that when it’s little bit colder outside this thing turns into absolutely beast. I know this is kind of excepted (more air when air is cold) but the difference is so big that im thinking im little bit too rich. Or my bike is Do i need to change smaller jets or can i get more leaner mixture from mixture screws at top end RPM? I’ve made some investigations and im not sure does the mixture screw affect mixture when going WOT, some discussions have stated that it only affects ”idle rpm” or when using max 3/4 of the throttle.

Gear lever/shifter: I like to have shifter very low. I adjusted shifters position lower than it originally was but i really cant get it where i want because side stand is getting in the way. Has any one had same problem, and if answer is yes how did you beat it? (different lever model/side stand modifications?)

Air intake: Any good modifications to get colder/more air to engine? I’ve read that ram air doesnt work that well with stock intake box so i guess that out of the question. I’ve also read that these carbs that older hurricanes have are made that way that they work best with stall air, custom cold air intake tubing would just mess things up?

Thanks for everyone in advance! All Hurricane tips (not just power even if it is what gets me out of bed in the morning ) are very, very welcome!
