I'd say to read some comparison tests re: Shinko quality to get as close to an unbiased opinion as possible. I put a set on my Ninja several years ago after the OE set wore out. Were they better than the OE's? Yes... but just barely. But that's just my super noob opinion. If you do a lot of straight line riding and aren't inclined to do much leaning, they might be just fine...

I put a set of these on my 1995 1000F (I sold it a number of years ago and it moved to Buffalo, NY). I purchased them because of the price point. From a handling perspective the bike didn't roll and lean into a corner as well. The profile was a flatter one and seemed to fall into a corner. They lasted a good bit of time, I think I got maybe 6000 to 7000 miles out of them. I would not put them onto a pure sport bike.

Shinko it is. Was your experience with the 009 Ravens, or the 011 Verges? Looks like the 011 Verges are sportier, and the 009 Raven's are more for mileage. 009 Ravens are less expensive too. At this point in my career I'm not gonna be in the twisties that much, so I'm leaning (no pun intended) to the 009 Ravens...

They were the 009 Ravens for sure. Like I said, they were fine for most of the riding I was doing, especially being in the flat lands of FL. It's only when I was in the mountains of N. GA, NC, TN that I would have liked a little more feedback.

Yeah...it's a no-brainer. $160 total for both front and rear shipped to my door from Amazon. I don't normally go cheap on tires for my other bikes, but considering I will rarely ride this thing, I don't mind this time. Thanks again.
