Default Oil change smoke?

Hey guys..so i had a minor oil leak on the 93 cbr1000f around the sprocket case..fixed that then decided to give rotella t6 a try (15w40) blue bottle..now I notice its leaking abit more.I patched the leaks, new gasket for the sprocket case. now as I cold start the bike I notice a small amount of grey smoke coming from where the exhaust manifold and the engine meet..I panicked abit and shut off the bike.
am I using the right oil? And what oil I should be using? im not sure about this bike's history or what oil was run in it before..maybe synthetic oil was a bad idea?
By the way I'm in NYC its summer around 70c to 89c

I think the Honda recommendation is 10-40.

smoke from your manifold has nothing to do with your oil change.

how exactly are you “patching leaks”?

First Pardon me im abit of a noob ive never messed with a old bike like this..so this bike is used its been through 5 owners..
i've been patching the cracks with jb weld and steel putty (the cover the sprocket sits on had some cracks on the gap where the cover bolts onto the engine)

UPDATE: there was water in the bike insted of coolant so i put in proper coolant.as for the oil i switched to 10w40 semi synthetic so it wasnt the oil.But it seems to be smoking only from the left exhaust header..maybe its burning something off? Should i be worried?

Nope - let it burn off, it won’t take long unless there’s a leak - WHICH IS A POSSIBILITY. My 1996 had a pinhole leak in the radiator which would spray coolant onto the manifold.

Keep an eye on it - you’ll easily see if something is dripping onto it.

Well done changing the coolant - that would be terminal pretty quickly.
