Well, thank you everyone. I bought it!!! $2800, he wouldn't budge on the price anymore. I trailered it straight to the repair shop for some new tires and fluids and cleaning of the carbs. You should have seen the look on the shop owners face!! He couldn't beleive how clean it was. He said he was going to try and get it back to me by the end of the day Thursday. I dropped it off at 6pm tonight. The initialestimate is $600 for everything. I will post some pics and an update when I get the bike back. When I got home, I found this one on craigslist, it is about 20 minutes from my house. It does not look as clean and check out the seat, yuk.

Congrats toa very nice and wellperforming bike. Great colour scheme as well.I would have bought it to if it has been in reach even though I have two bikes before. The CBR 1000 F is a superb general purpose bike, not weak on anything and good looking.

Good deal, man. You will undoubtedly enjoy this bike. A guy I ride with sometimes has the exact same bike. I almost bought it, actually, before he did. He paid 2k for it in a LOT worse shape than that, and with like 14k more miles. (And meand a couple other buddies were scrambling to getto the bank, but he was closer.. [:@])
You definately got a deal. I wouldn't even think twice about it.
And like some others said (i think), NADA takes mileage into account. My bike is a 1995, and NADA just automatically putlike 50k on it.I paid right around middlebook value, but it was in excellent shape with about 1/3 the miles.

Good buy. Because we ride all year here and its so big its almost impossible to buy low mileage older bikes.
Here are some things you need to attend to and replace.
Tyres - Even if look good will have perished.
Brake lines
CCT - As its the original bike it would have had the original CCT and not the newer one with a deeper well and it may only last 40k.
I'd say ya carbies will need to be striped and de-gummed.
Also you can buy a product called Rubber Grease will will work better than Armourall as softening the rubbers.
