Default Need Buying Advice

I really want to pick up a Hurricane. These are the two that are being sold in my area but I just want to know which one would be a better purchase and how much it would cost me to fix one of these up and have it at peak riding performance for the next season?

go with the white and red one, that stuntbike has lead a hard life, as do all stuntbikes, so its basically a ticking time bomb waiting to break. the white 87 looks like its seen a loving owner or three, and has been maintained well, so it should be lots less to fix.

definetly the red and white one, that one seems like it could only be a matter of re adjusting the pilot screws. if you do pick it up though, I would pull the carbs again anyways, see if it has any jetting ect done to it. I know it doesnt say that it does, but it seems to me the guy just bought it as it says he will soon have the title in hand.

Could also be a matter of a stuck float, or a clogged needle seat filter as well, simple fix i would think.

lol forgoot to mention that it depends what you mean by peak riding performance lol, if you want it to work like it should youd be fine with another good carb cleaning and sync. If you want faster, you better pay a visit to dynojet and factory pro, as well as dennis kirk.

As far as peak I want it to be reliable and get me around with no problem. But how much would all these parts and repairs cost?

That depends on your mechanical ability and your shopping ability. If you look around and ask questions, you can find new or used parts ( OEM or aftermarket ) cheap! When compared to your friendly dealership of course!

I have experience with basic engines and carbeurators. A few of my old note books should help me with the carb. I just don't want to but it and it turn into a money pit.
