I'm not quite sure how, or when, but I lost one of the plate that lets you tighten up the chain by sliding the rear wheel back.

In the image below, I'm referring to part#9.

If anyone has an extra for some reason let me know. I don't want to pay $30+ for the part if I don't have to. In the mean time I'll ride a little more gently.....

Are you talking about a coller or plate? Plate is only $10+ at http://hondapartsdirect.reachlocal.net/default.asp

the "how" could be, that the second nut was not tightened enough against the first nut ?
Or the second nut was not there in the first place.
That is a classic reason.

Thanks man. I'm retarded, when on ronayers.com on clicked on #8 (collar) instead of #9(the plate). You are correct, it is the plate I need. I thought it was od that they would call it a collar

I'll go ahead and order one today for the $12. Until then I'm going to the hardward store and getting a steel plate and some nuts.....

That's more than likely how it came off, or so I figured. I was just mad at myself for not paying attention to my bike, I should have noticed it......it's not like it all came off on one 15mile ride.
