Volvi, Nice write up on the busa. I've been on them. They do have a certain beast appeal as you mention. I know that they are faster than an XX. I considered one in the past. I then thought to myself how often would I travel at that faster speed than the XX. Heck I rarely if ever go up to top speed on my XX. I like the build quality and the looks of the XX much better than the busa. Like your initial thoughts in
. your write-up upon seeing the busa I too found it unapealing in the looks department. That was all I needed to know that it wasn't the bike for me.
I will say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if you like it than that is all that matters. Enjoy it and have fun.
My cousins son has set 1/4 mile records on a heavily modified built for the strip busa.

I actually like the Black and Silver Busa much better and I find that one unappealing. Like Volvi's own initial thoughts upon first seeing a busa I too feel that it is an ugly looking bike. I have called it fugly in the past but I always add that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What one person finds beautiful another person may find ugly. How else can you explain people finding Roasanne Barr attractive enough to marry. I think she has been married at least three times now. I just don't get it. The copper and silver colored busa is like mixing gold and silve jewerly. What most people would call a fashion faux pas. My pesonal feeling is that both the CBR1000F and the CBR1100XX are much better looking motorcycles. Makes me think of that joke. Riding a scooter is like being intimate with an ugly girl. Might be fun to ride but you wouldn't want to be seen on one. Once again bikes are different for a resaon. People like different things. I say if you like it ride it and enjoy it.
