One think that I have thought about is the front and rear bearings, have many of U guys replaced and at what mileage?
I am excited about going, have considered for many years, just couldn't pull the trigger, will now I have and wahooo cant wait!

Just prop it up and give the wheels a good rattle around and spin them to see if they are nice and free.

It's easy to spend more $ than you need to so I go by "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

You're going to have mates with you so if you did have a breakdown* (your bike I mean), it'd be ok anyway.

Do the basic cheap stuff, as everyone has outlined previously, tie on your **** and go!

*Extremely unlikely...It's a Honda

Hey thanks Dav, thanks for the positive support, I tent to over think and over prepare, and that is the reason for this trip, clothes, a little money and a WTF attitude! I will let u guys know how it went, and include any pics I can,
