Forgot to mention Naga Tai carries a repair kit with him but I believe it's specially for bikes. He mentioned it in a post only a few days ago & put up a link for a similar kit. Drop him a note if interested.

I've used this kit many times over the last 20 years or so, and I've never had one fail ever. It's a mushroom style plug (superior to the strips), and you don't remove the tire to apply it. I was a motorcycle messenger in San Fran for years, and if I bought a new tire every time I had a puncture I'd never have had enough money to pay the rent. At one time I had (4) of these in the rear and (2) in the front all at once...went maybe 4,000 miles like that.

Follow the instructions and you're fine. BTW dealers won't ever plug a tire (or rarely anyway) for liability reasons. Get a kit and carry it always!
