nail in tire
Depends where the nail is located... If it's inside the tread, thereshould be no problem at all, but if it's on the face of the tire you may run into a few obstacles. I've had a Metzeler M1 get plugged with about 700 miles into it's life and it rode as if it had never been damaged (the nail was inside the tread though).
Good luck man...

My opinion is: if its a straight nail hole (no slash) and you do not use it on the track,
get an automotive type internal patch. I dont like the plugs because they might wiggle themselves
loose but good to carry in a kit for temporary get home use.

My husband just bought a 07 cbr 1000rr , he has only 200 miles and got a nail in is tire. Well we could not find anyone who would plug it so he had to buy himself a new tire 179.00. Boy were we upset brand new perelli!!!!!!!
I actually picked up a nail the other day, too. I had just replaced the front for wear (it was just about to show chords) and I got it dead center of the rear tire. I was happy that it was the rear instead of the front. Anyways, the rear was flat in the center from the previous owner and replacing it was the best thing in the world for the bike's handling. Leaning isn't all or nothing anymore. I actually stuck with Dunlop Qualifiers because of my riding style and budget. Paw Paw cycle up here in MI has a $20 mount and balance on the bike special so it only cost approx 150. Oh yeah, patching/plugging is never a good idea unless it is a last resort to get home or something. I would never feel right riding on a repaired tired.

Gave me a reason to get the brand I wanted. Sold the good one on Ebay.
