RE: Most embarassing moment
This is not a bike event but it isin the samedivision as the rag. I friend (for real) called and said the car sounded very bad and ask me to come an listen worried that the engine was giving up. I couldn't at the time and said - if the oil lamp is not on, drive ever so slowly to a shop, that I knew was very near. The owner later told me what the problem was. He had turned the radio into AM instead of FM as we use here. The result was a hissing noise andinterferences that he had never heard. Even to day I'm asking - have you changed oil on AM as required every 1000 kilohertz ?

I took my wife's CB750 Custom out the other day, right turn out of driveway, left turn after 100 meters - NOPE -bike went straight on, into the bushes.
Put sidestand UP before doing left turns........
Just shows - 43 years in the saddle and you're never to old to learn...........
Keep 'em coming, guys, I've been cracked up since yesterday.....!!

My first bike was an 01 Volusia, big cruiser, windshield, black and white, I had a black jacket and wore a white helmet. Apparently I looked a whole lot like a cop, because as I came to a stop at the end of my street, some lady drove by doing about 40 in a 25. She took one glance at me and immediately pulled over. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why she stopped so suddenly then tailgated me out of the neighborhood... Note to self: Do not look like cop...

I was teaching a motorcycle safety class here in Connecticut, USA, and everything was good....till I decided to try a tight U-turn. The student I borrowd the bike from (State owned bike thankfully) had left the fuel on. I turned it off and suddenly in the middle of a beautiful turn.....the bike stalled and laid over ever so gently. I looked at the bike, back the class, started to laugh as the other instructor reminded the class what FINE-C means. Fuelzheimers is when you forget the F or Fuel step [8D]
I had been teaching for umm, 12 years when that happened

RE: Most embarassing moment
Couple of years ago, I had a little bit (read: alot) of hangover when I went to bikers meeting. With dizzy head I checked some bikes, and one biker was standing next to his CBR1100XX. "Hmm, fellow CBR rider", I thought, and I had to ask him something. The only question I could seriously come up with was:
"Is your bike front- or rear wheel drive?"
Oh man, I still remember how he stared at me.
I didn't hear the answer.[>:]
