Besides shoveling, i paint one peice or do something on the bike each week-end, my right muffler cover is painted, both my mirrors are done, i am supprised, the one that was scraped on the pavement after working on it it does not show ( i am surprised at my skills, first time i worked with putty and all the rest, but then again it pays to watch your dad, he owned a bodyshop) disks and front wheel done.
What is left:
rear wheel, painting headers, finshing painting the fairing , finished the side panel and bellypan plastics, ajusting the valves, changing the drive chain and sprockets and put on new break and clucth lever, again i was lucky fleabay provided and now they are black quite a look!
Pick up a few things:
won a rear shock on ebay it had 30000 some miles for a grand total of 8.00$, won the right inner fairing panel for 12.00$ and finally picked up the right side bracket for 10:00, all in perfect condition, i was lucky.
Also picked a set of tools to adjust the valves , seems like genius, can't wait to try them.loooks like this
One last questions, anyone here has removed their hearders? i want to paint them ,but i am afraid the studs will break and could not find the part on ron ayers, any ideas? and any tricks in removing thoses?
Have a good day all

This is one case Carl where PB Blaster does waaay better than WD 40 .....put plenty on
them and let sit for 20 minutes..... then go about breaking loose..... gentle ...... if you
seem to be getting nowhere and you think they maybe gonna snap instead of break free
time to get out a small butane or propane torch and heat it for 45 seconds to a minute
then try gently breaking it free. ......... all I can say is take it slow and with maximum
patience ........snapping one off is a complete pain in the **** to make right.
I find a long extension to a long breaker bar (as opposed to a ratchet) gives me better
"feel" as I go to break 'em.
BTW you'll need 4 new gaskets ahead of time , don't reuse
Where'd yu get that valve tool ??
