You might consider an aftermarket seat. The Corbin Gunfighter or Gunfighter and Lady seem to drop a couple inches at least below the stock seat. At least the most common comment from those who sit on my bike (not many do, mind you) is, "You don't sit on this thing, you sit in it."

I have the corbin and it sits you higher than the stock seat. I didnt know they made a lady version. That might be something to look into though. i think i will try to give them a call this week.

The Gunfighter and Lady seat is the Gunfighter with a pillion seat and backrest attached. It seats the rider at the same height as the Gunfighter. I may be wrong about relative heights of the Corbin and stock seats. My impression is based on memory of riding my son's '87 Hurricane with a stock seat seventeen or eighting years ago. I'm certain about the Corbin seats though, I have had both on my current bike.

I'm wondering why lilryan is asking us about lowering a CB1000...................?
Surely it would be more productive to ask the guys on the CB Forum, than ask us who don't own one. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind helping, but surely that would be the place to go.........
