Default Lighter oil for cooler time of the year?

I use 15w50 Mobil 1 for normal season. We see 90f + here in the summer, with a few slow traffic times. Extra protection I figure. So many use 10w40 year round, wadda ya tink?

Default RE: Lighter oil for cooler time of the year?

I don't know about others but where I come from we get 40+ even 45 (104-113). I don't have overheating problems (touch wood) & have never run different oil for the heat. I must admit that I do always use the best motorcycle oil I can afford not car oil. I also notice the difference in the way the bike runs if the oil level starts to drop.
