Leaking fuel tank
Did you kill the clutch chasing a Blackbird by any chance
Thanks for the sympathy guys, I am just in a dark place right now and need to come through it. If I work on it now it will be with a 14 pound sledge...so best leave it alone. When circumstances change I will get it all 100% and enjoy it.
Just the thought of pulling all the bodywork off again to trace the water leak and electrical fault has me feeling ill... Wish I could just go out to the workshop and shout "strip" and all her clothes would fall off... guess I'm a typical male then

LOL. Actually it did not help the clutch trying to catch the bird.. She was starting to slip just a tad on the high rpm shifts 9500-10000 before we raced, probably a month ago she started slipping.
Actually started when i was playing around with a friend that has a 2008 Honda hornet or as some call then 599's. I hammered his bike like the bird hammered my cane. lol. He thought his little 599 would whip up on the ole 1000f. He said that my bike is to heavy to be fast. LOL He was schooled properly.
I had a 88 1000 cane prior to this bike. Had to do the clutch right at 40k. This bike now has almost 39k so its time. Easy job. But am not planning on doing it until it gets cold out. Next two months here are perfect for riding as the the temps are in the low 70s. As long as i dont race her to much the clutch should last until then.

Bike fell off the stand today, big dent in tank...does anyone know where I can get a decal set for a 90 model. Going to have to fix and respray this bike now. Pity, was in fantastic shape for a 23 year old machine
Bummer David,
Start with this thread for decals.
