Default jet kit question

when i stick the stock motor that i am picking up in my bike im putting idividual k&n filters on each carb and the yosh slipons back on. i will have to jet it up but will a dynojet stage one kit dump enough fuel in for those two mods?

Not sure about the Jet kit - I have a stage 1 in mine, not sure if it makes any difference.
These bikes are overjetted as standard, so you probably won't feel any change. You don't have to rejet.....not unless you're running a full Yoshi kit, from the manifold.
I would suggest that you leave the original airbox in place, and fit a single K&N in there.
These motors are designed to run best with 'still' air' and the turbulence you will have when you remove the airbox and side air intakes won't be good. The Yamaha XJ900 is the same, and both run better with an airbox. Just for info, your choice.

Always pick up an airbox cheap on e-Bay. I'll find one for you if you like.......
The other problem is heat- with the normal ducting, the air into the carbs is relatively cool, and if you don't fit the airbox, the air into the motor will be a lot 'hotter', which isn't a good thing.
We've had this discussion before, and as I recall the general consensus of the members was to fit the original airbox.
Just for info, your bike, your choice.............
