RE: Instrument lights
OK heres the latest. Decided, for now, to live with the lights the way they were. I go out for one of the last rides of the season and. . . the instrument light problemis REVERSED. The left side of the speedo is illuminated and everything else is now dark. What is going on there. A ground bad? Thoughts, anyone? Feel free to talk among yourselves.
Thanks

RE: Instrument lights
Hey chance, I'm taking a quick look through the service manual and there are 2 bulbs for the speedo. One at 6 o'clock and the other at 12 o'clock. Also, all the lighting for the instrument cluster is run off 2 wires (brown with a white stripe - power hot and a green wire -common ground)

Reminds me of a story …
Years ago, I went to a mates place at night, parked the bike under atree.
When leaving, I got on the bike and started to head home.
I notice something not right with my tacho light, hav1ng another look, it looked l1ke it was smashed.
As I went under a street light, I saw a very large Tree Spider covering the whole tacho - after about 5 very long minutes, I pull up at a servo, put the side stand down, lent the bike on the stand and proceeded to run away.
