If anyone could please explain how exactly the ignition switch(key slot) works, I would greatly appreciate it. Im just trying to wrap my head around what happens inside the little black box when I turn the key and don't want to tear into it to find out. Thanks ahead

 

Hi, have you downloaded the Haynes manual from the instruction manual section? There should be a bit in there on the ignition/wiring. What is it you want to do to the ignition?

Well it's a rotary switch, and there is also the steering lock as well. Are looking to mod it in some way to do something else?

 

Ya I'm trying to do the keyless entry remote start mod that I believe a guy did about a year back on here. I pm the guy bur no reply any idea how that goes. Reason being my bike is a fighter now and sineones already tried to jack into my key port( don't shun me for the fighter)

 

Right keyless remote. So the idea would be to use a remote to start or to unlock your bike so you can start it from the standard starter button?

 

Right now yes sirrr but I'm down to a single key and honestly just think the mod would be sweet if I could do it as said in the thread I read before, everything stock still fully functional and what not.
If I can't do it it's no the end o the world just a project I thought would be cool. So with that said...... ?
