Hurricane SC21 Restrictions? Really need help!

RE: Hurricane SC21 Restrictions? Really need help!
Thanks for everyone.
I stripped my bike today and took a guick look. Didn`t have time to take of carburators, but it seemed that former owner had kinda velded new pipes from air filter to carburators?!?!
I was like wtf. But it might be that someone had changed them for bigger ones.
And perhaps all the power is there but cannot be shure because dont have any place to take it to be measured. Must take a better look soon.
And it doesent really have that obvious feel for lack of power compared to my friends cbr 1000f which is not restricted. So if the difference is supposed to be so obvious then it might be in full power mode. At least i dont think that it has only 74kw.
Hopefully it made some sense what i just said
It was very nice to notice that there are many people who know alot about this bike and took their time to help.
Thank you!

Latsky where are you from? I had my bike on a dyno not to long ago before i started having problems with her and i was getting a whopping 189.78 mph out of her which was unbelievable but it had something to do with the bigger carbs and air inlet im sure of. I have a video of my bike on the dyno if anyone is interested in it i can load it up well take care..

The carbs and air inletmust have been quite good then. To reach 189 mph, which is 18% over the stock top speed, you need an estimated 1.18*1.18*1.18 in power increase.. That is 1.64, i.e. 64 percent. 135 hp multiplied with 1.64 will be 221 crankedhorsepower from the CBR 1000 F.

As for the restriction in the carb inlet, I jsut took mine off to see if there was any and I came up with this:
As you can see, it's a nice and smooth transfer from the carb to the inlet on the head. I measured the head opening at 38.58mm and the carb opening at 38.28mm. So the US versions are unrestriced at should be getting around 100hp / 60 lb ft at the wheel.

Well, my bike is a little tired with all those miles behind it (104,000 km). I suppose with a pipe, shim the needle, K&N and do a proper compression adjustment, you might see 118hp at the wheel after transmission loss. Also, chains average about 9% loss, belts 18%, and shafts a whopping 26% power loss (old notes from dyno tuning class)
