Default Horrible buzz

I'm really enjoying my 93 1000F that I got about 2.5 months ago. The only problem is it seems to really put a buzz through the handle bars and pegs at about 4800 RPMs. This is about where my cruising speed it on the highway which I take everyday to work. The buzzing only gets worse as the revs increase. The buzz is bad enough that my right thumb feels "numb" after a while.

Any ideas????

Is your bike missing the end weights on the handle bars?

Thanks for the replies. I'll try the balancer adjustment and let you guys know.

And yes, I have the bar end weights.

It did help some. I'm going to try adjusting it again tomorrow morning to see if I can get more buzz out.

Is there any way to take away the buzz when you're above 5500 RPM? I did some "spirited" canyon riding this weekend and the buzz up in the rev range is even worse than at cruising speed.

Have you done a carb sync lately?? If not, I would.

Then I'd maybe try the balancer again......... followed by some gel grips.

If the buzz is all the time i would be checking

1. Engine mount bolts to make sure none are loose
2. Do the wheels need balancing?
3. Are the bar weights heavy enough for the bike?
4. Any problems with the front end suspension?

Keep us all informed as you go
