Hi there amigos!!,

I hope you are all doing terrific, I have a problem with "La Colorina", the honk or buzzeris not working at all, like a couple of months ago, towards the middle of the raining session here, it started to make this sound like when you blow your nose..., I did not pay any attentions, as I tought this was probably becasue of the water, since I do not really use it a lot I just realized that now is not working at all, I do not know if this isrelated because of the water I encountered on my trips, the thing is that on the manual there is a note that sends you to the chapter 25 of the general maintenance book, but really it does not help a lot, can some one point me in the areas to look at for troubleshoot, Shadow-san I seek some enlightnement here .

Check your earth cable, Luis !
If it's not wiring related,
replace with cheap car hooter.

 

First I'd hold the horn button with the ignition on and tap the horn with the handle of a screwdriver if nothing happens then its a new horn.

 

Just take the horn out and connect it to a battery, if it honks, then it's good, if not, then replace it. I would get one of those ones that play's a tune.

 

Thanks guys, do I need to remove the front fairing, or is this something that I can do like underneath the light beam area?

 

I haven't taken my out,if it looks hard, just run 12volts to it.

Take off the cover over the radiator top (fairing inner) and work from there. Easy job, Luis !
Maybe get one that plays La Cucaracha.............hehehe

Great!!! many thanks, I will look this weekend for some shoping on something like that, I agree that the original horn sounds quite wimpy, I will try to see ($$) if I can install some FIAM's with La Cucaracha as SeƱor Shadow suggested
