Helmets & Bluetooth

If you're using a 1/2 helmet and don't have a full windshield, I could see some
quality issues with the sound. Inside a full helmet, My wife and I have had no trouble
with communication, even a 70+. I've been a happy camper on all fronts with the
Midlands. The VOX circuit works great for the 2-way. Billy Idol comes through fine the
rest of the time. The phone beeps for incoming and answers on the VOX, as well.
So I don't have to spend any time fiddling with it. They also use the mic to scale
volume to speed. They definetly add a whole new level for 2-up.
Obviously, I'm a fan.

I've been following some of the heads-up tech. The gear is almost ready for the main-stream.
I'm talking blue-tooth connected to the bike's computer, sending a projection to a
corner of the face-shield. Speed/RPM the works. They've even been talking rear-cam
instead of mirrors. You can actually do the rear camera with current car-tech, sent
to a monitor on the dash. I love the geek-stuff!

There's also this Motorbike helmets from Reevu - the world's first rear view helmet
Saw it on TV a while back, don't know how it would feel on the road though, uses prisms and mirrors and you can see behind with a prism strip above the visor.
