Headlight bulbs..My only gripe to Mr. Honda!
#11
I don't need to pull the clocks on my '94. To install the right bulb I turn the bars full right and use my left hand while facing forward. To install the left I turn the bars full left and use my right hand while facing forward.
Using this technique I can replace both bulbs in 15-20 minutes with any H-4 bulb.
My camera died so now I can't take a photo of what I described in this thread.

Notice that in the first photo the big tab at 12 0-clock is now flattened and the two **** at 6 o-clock are flattened.

You could make them yourself with a bit if ingenuity...............
If you need pics, I have some somewhere................
I think the later bikes were easier to change TBT, maybe slight changes to the fairings , but the 89-92 models were/are a real pig !
The Blackbird bulbs take about 5 minutes for both !!

Just got to find some good H4's any recommendations ??
Thinking of Osram Hyper 85/80's ? ! Will they draw too much ?
I guess so
After all that now I'm looking at HID Kits for H4's

I am not saying that it is a breeze. You have to do it by feel.
The only way you can reach down in and feel around is to face forward and use the hand closest to the bike.

Globe installs using braille
I recon if you have been around bike for a while , many of us are already fairly used to getting our fingers into spots on bike where things have to be done this way anyways....
So it sounds ok to me ...
I know the gauges are not too bad to remove , but hey .... om all for a short cut method too...
