You can find twin packs on the internet for $12.90 US if you do a search.
As a matter of fact, that's one in the photos I posted earlier.
I know that I might be in the minority, but I've tried the Silverstars twice (once on my tow vehicle, and once on a bike) and in both cases, they were awesome...unless it was raining, in which case they were absolutely horrible.

However, there is a new(ish) Silverstar Ultra now. They're more money, but they're great bulbs. I've yet to see their equal in the 55/60 category.

I do what I can

Here's a pic for you. The first time I saw Ben Spies' leathers that said 'Elbowz' on the back, I was inspired...this is from a WERA race at Barber a couple of years ago.

Raybrig/PIAA/Polarg/Nokya

JDM Polarg H4H B1 Hybrid 100W 3900K Euro White
JDM Polarg H4H B1 Hybrid 100W 3900K Euro White

Regular price: $59.97
Sale price: $39.97 (for a two-pack)

I just noticed these; low price, no adapter required. Would they fry the wiring on my CBR1000F, which is a US model? The product description states that they draw 60/55 watts with an output in excess of 100. Nutty idea?

I would be more concerned about the 100w output possibly melting the lens.

Default well

+ 1 on the Heat you'd need to find a way to vent it and it's a gamble with the stated draw of 60/55 watts with a claim off 100 watt ............not trouble I'd go looking for.........some of those manufacturers make dubious
claims at best IMO.......if it was an Osram / Sylvania /Wagner etc I might
be cool with it as they have iso standards etc

60/55 Blue tungsten bulbs give me more than enough light to run well over the speedlimit in the dark.
I can't see how anyone can claim to give you 100W from a 60W bulb..........
we don't have the latest technology in reflectors either, which would be a real bonus, and give a lot more light. What about a set of those fancy superbright thingumy bulbs using fancy technology from lower current draw........?
+2 on the heat from those 100W bulbs....................

I have to agree that Wattage equals heat but they say that their bulbs use 60/55w. I don't know, when something sounds to good to be true I wait until someone else tries it.

LED's toss light at much less Watts than regular bulbs.

So I just put Silverstars in my bike. It's not dark here yet, so I don't know how much difference they will make, but 120w on bright has got to be better than the stock 90w. The coat hanger adapter worked fine. I have relatively small hands for such a manly man (I wear a size medium glove), so I tried to put the new bulbs in without removing the instrument panel. After much fussing and fiddling and broadening the vocabulary of my neighbors' children, I took the panel out, changed the bulbs, and put it back together in less than half an hour.

Thanks for the coat hanger tip.

I actually just changed my bulbs last week, too.
I decided to go with the Philips X-Treme Power +80.
They are a 60/55w, but made a noticeable difference over the stock ones, and not super white. Amazing bulbs, really.
I know what Dave means about the "crappy in the rain" thing that some of the bluer bulbs seem to exhibit.
They cost me $40 from the UK. I ordered them from AutoLamps online. Free shipping and GREAT communication. They won't leave you hanging. Personal email updates for 2 days apologizing about being out of stock and I still had the lamps in about 12days!!

BTW, the lamps I pulled out of the bike were H4 style and made by Stanley (stock). The stock clips were holding them in, too, and the new bulbs fit fine with no mods.
Maybe they changed something by 1995??
Still a major PITA just to switch bulbs, though. Those goofy-*** clips are a bad joke by Honda....
