Gel palm gloves are good but you need to take them off by pulling on the finger tips or linerwill pop out. they are a hot glove and good for long distance, mine have a wiper on the thumb.

I put on a new set of grips. Pro Grip model 714 "dual sport rally grips"withthe Throttle Meister Heavy bar ends / throttle lock and the vibes are all but gone. I also make sure to keep the carbs synced with my Morgan carb tune (yes it IS worth the money) which also seems to make a world of difference. The balance shaft on mine is turned to the point of it whining, and then backed off just a tad. All that has pretty much removed all the vibes, and pins and needles effect. Of course I can also turn the TM thottle lock on and remove my right hand to stretch it too. Oh and turn on the heated grips on cold days which is really nice.

Yes, I would imagine that different grips would help immensely.
Didn't think of that...I'll have to look into it....
Never had a problem with my glove's liner coming out. The gel packs are sewn right in..

i have a slight shake upon hand removal from the bars, will definatly be checking my front wheel bearing though. just put new tire on and my weights are in the center of the wheel. have heard a squeaking noise from the front though, so probably is a bearing. as far as the tingling hands, glad to see im not alone

Mine does the handle bar shake on decel too. I think it's got more to do with rear static sag then anything. I've never set mine, but the XX 'bird does the same and a friend set his rear static sag and it all but eliminated the head shake. Our head bearings aren't the tapered type, so it's not likely to be the problem, unless they are really shot and then head shake would be apparent at all speeds and especially over bumps.
When I put on the Race tech springs and cartridge emulators in, I'll set both the front and rear sag and see if that helps.

I've got the "pins n needles" effect as well, new tires, balanced, bearings (steering and wheels), crankshaft balancer checked recently, still when I ride with my girl on the back after 80km or so I get that feeling at around 4000-5000rpm. I figure replacing the grips would be the best option, gloves help but don't get rid of it completely.

hehe yeah, I bet that's the problem, but I have to compensate somehow, right? I ride solo most of the times, anyway, and this only happens with her on my back. Tried to soften the preload on the rear but it's still there.
I'll give it a shot at replacing the original grips for something more comfy.
